Welcome to JUST SA
The Just Transition to a Decarbonised Economy for South Africa (JUST SA) project supports the implementation of pathways towards an environmentally sustainable, climate-change resilient, low-carbon economy and just society.
Who is JUST SA?
The JUST SA project is funded by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) as part the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the Federal Government of Germany, with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) as the political partner.
It is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH through a consortium comprising GIZ, Trade & Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS), the National Business Initiative (NBI), and World Wide Fund for Nature South Africa (WWF), in partnership with the Mpumalanga Green Cluster Agency (MGCA), Indalo Inclusive, the Just Energy Transition Project Management Unit (JET PMU), the Presidential Climate Commission (PCC) and others
