The Just Transition Finance Tagging Tool provides a shared understanding of what counts as a just transition project (and what doesn’t), which is fundamental to improving interactions between funders, financiers, project support partners, policy makers and project originators/implementers. This free just transition project certification website provides consistent, rigorous and objective project assessments against a fixed set of criteria – the first step towards a shared vision. The tool has been designed to add value to role players in the financial ecosystem, and those wishing to access the financial ecosystem.

The tool can be used by large multi-national companies, SMMEs, and informal community groupings and is applicable across sectors and various lifecycles of a project.
