JUST TRANSITION PROJECT PIPELINE

This research focuses on the second identified challenge, the lack of a just transition project pipeline, while noting that the three issues are deeply interrelated. As with other areas of just transition finance research, a tension exits between the urgency for short-term interventions to support action on the ground, and the need to ensure that problem analysis, foundational understanding and the resultant short-term actions provide a path to the longer-term requirement of system level change (Naidoo 2021, PCC 2023).
