Co-Creating a Just Transition: Insights and Lessons from the Komati Just Energy Transition Community Engagement and Interventions Co-Creation Project

The project aimed to create more meaningful opportunities for communities to participate in conversations about climate change, the just transition, and local development. It also sought to support communities in identifying practical solutions and opportunities that respond to local needs and realities.

Through awareness workshops, community dialogues, focus group discussions, surveys, innovation bootcamps, and enterprise support, the project created spaces for community members to share their experiences, voice concerns, and help shape ideas for the future.
