Just Transition Tagging Tool Launch Video

TIPS has developed the Just Transition Project Tagging Tool, an evidence-based framework that helps determine whether a project qualifies as a "just transition" project, a "just transition plus" project, or falls outside these categories. Now in its second iteration and available as a free online assessment platform, the tool gives funders, financiers, policymakers, and project originators a consistent, objective way to evaluate projects against a shared set of criteria, built on established standards such as ESG, the UN Global Compact, and the SDGs. By creating this common reference point, the tool aims to help unlock and direct credible just transition financing across South Africa.
