Day 1 Highlights: Our Project Director, Christina von Heyden, joined an opening panel with ACF, MTN, and Nedbank representatives to discuss the importance of partnership and collaboration for sustainable impact, with a key insight that communities, especially youth, already hold transformative solutions—we need to co-create platforms for collective action.

The Komati Just Energy Transition Community Engagement and Interventions Co-Creation Project (K-JET CEICC), which aims to empower the Komati community through innovative business solutions, showcased community-led pitches to stakeholders. Ruan Fourie (Senior Technical Advisor) emphasized creating platforms where communities can share solutions to local challenges.

Day 2 Impact: As part of the adjudication panel, we were thrilled to award grant prizes funded under the IKI JET project to several promising enterprises.
Heartfelt gratitude to: • Indalo Inclusive for their exceptional implementation of this vital work • Our fellow adjudicators and partners: the DFFE, PCC, DARDLEA, Nkangala District Municipality, Steve Tswete Local Municipality, MGCA, and the Komati Steering Committee. The IKI JET project for funding this transformative initiative.

When we invest in our communities, we invest in our future!
