Tapiwa Chimbganda is a sustainability transition and environmental, social and governance (ESG) expert with over 10 years’ experience across sustainability consulting, research and innovation, as well as mineral economics. She has key experience in developing integrated strategies for sustainability transitions, mine closure risk analysis, post-mining transitions and evaluating ESG risks.

Tapiwa is currently a Senior Technical advisor in the JUST SA project focusing on supporting capacity building for local stakeholders, promoting private sector participation in the just transition, and solutions for mine rehabilitation as well as the treatment of mine affected water.
