Sandy has 30 years of experience in economic growth and industrial policy strategic thinking and implementation. Having worked in academia, provincial and national government, and NPOs, she has applied her experience and knowledge of how to support economic diversification and new growth opportunities from the research and conceptualisation stage through to creating an enabling environment for implementation, to actual delivery on the ground.

In the past five years she has applied this experience to the green economy and just transition agenda, with a particular focus on how to ensure that South Africa is able to mobilise and deploy the optimal quality and quantity of finance necessary to deliver a transition that is just.
